Voice For Life: speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves

Christmas cards available

November 8, 1996

A Christmas card has been made available from Voice For Life. The cover of the card shows the wise men offering gifts to the baby Jesus, with the caption "They offered Him gifts." The drawing was created by one of the Chinese women incarcerated in the Lerdo Detention Facility. The card is printed on a parchment card stock in gold lettering.

Inside, the card says "We too may offer Him gifts as we show love and concern for the oppressed. May you have a blessed Christmas." Jesus' words in Matthew 25:40 are also recorded: "As you have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it unto me."

These cards are intended to be a reminder to us during the Christmas season to offer gifts to our Lord by serving the "least of these." The cards are available for a suggested donation of $10 for 8 cards, or $20 for 20 cards. Supplies are limited, so order your cards as soon as possible!

A limited supply of cards is still available from Voice For Life. Please request these cards as you send a donation to the Chinese refugee ministry of Voice For Life.

The Christmas scene above was drawn by Qu Ai Yue, one of the Chinese women incarcerated in the Lerdo Detention Facility. Color reproductions of this picture are available from Voice For Life, for a suggested donation of $2.
