A bloody crime scene, a rumored affair, and inappropriate
responses led police to arrest John Baxter Hamilton, one of
Oklahoma City's most well-known abortionists,
hours after his wife was slain on Valentine's Day.
Hamilton was wearing bloodstained clothing, but no shoes or
necktie, while the victim had a necktie around her neck.
"Hamilton appeared to be acting and not concerned for the
victim," according to a police affidavit.
"Someone who makes a living taking the lives of the unborn is only one
step away from taking the lives of the born," said Stan Engle, who is
involved in local pro-life ministry.
Hamilton's Oklahoma City Clinic for Women has reportedly remained closed
since Hamilton's arrest, doubtlessly resulting in many children's lives
being saved. Between 15 and 20 unborn children were reportedly aborted
by Hamilton every Tuesday and Thursday.
"An abortion doctor is confronted with an irreconcilable conflict....
How can he compartmentalize and say, 'On the one hand it's okay to kill
these babies, and on the other hand it's not okay to solve my anger
problems with violence'?" asked Dr. Dominic Pedulla of Oklahoma City.
