September 12, 2001 Insights from the Lord

- The Lord placed President Bush miraculously in office, not because he was any better than Al Gore, but because in time of crisis Bush would cry out to the Lord.
- President Bush is the puppet of proud, power-hungry people who are the builders and upholders of the Babylonian system. This crisis will be one of the very few opportunities in which he can cut his strings loose and fulfill what the Lord intends him to be. Else he will turn into Saul.. When he asserts his independence in Christ, intercessors must be in constant vigil to surround and protect him in prayer while he is surrounded by these people
- Ezek 16:49 "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food, and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.
The kind of attack and the American vulnerability to it is caused by the open door that has been given to a multitude of demonic powers. Each of these powers contributed to aspects of the attack:

Merciless violence in total disregard of people: // no care for the poor
- Rooted in abortion of the unborn (20 million+ murdered)
Rooted in an endless stream of violent movies that have flooded and brutalized the world.
Military aid to dictators who have mercilessly killed and suppressed peoples.
Rooted in the merciless economic exploitation of nations. (Listed companies pushing peoples in the nations to ever lower wages and returns by playing them off against each other).
(Possibly older sources of violence: Violence against slaves and Indians).
Openings for the demonic: Created by organizations that undermine the Chr. Social structure.
Each time a demonic spirit is invited, the protection by the Holy Spirit diminishes. (Intercessors can stand in the gap for a period until God reveals the nature of evil that has been invited. This act in NY reveals what has been invited into the USA).
- Cessation and hindrance of school prayer.
- Freedom at schools to call on Allah, T.M., Channeling, Swastika, Sun, Moon & Star gods etc. etc.
- Endless stream of occult and horror movies.
Pride:
- The only remaining superpower. (Again: at his inauguration Bush said the right things about humility. Now pray that he will have the courage to implement them).
Wealth: Not protected by God. (Jer. 4:3), (Rev 3:18) (Rev 17:18à 18:20)
- CHURCH: The love for Jesus mixed with the love for money. Serving two masters. Prosperity theology, slick and fancy churches and ministries. Turns wealth from a blessing into a curse. God does not protect such wealth. Thus the vulnerability of the WT Center.
Much of the WT Center’s wealth is accumulated by unjust overpowering of poorer nations. Thus no protection by God.

Govt: White House: No destruction because people gave their lives and resisted evil.

Revenge, retribution: As we prayed, we saw that there is a heavenly way of revenge. HIS way would prevent many wars and would prevent governments to start introducing total control over people's movements.

We feel that God may use this great crime to break the stranglehold of Islam over the many nations. If our response is correct, God can use this to heap burning coals on their heads. We, who have been in the Muslim countries know that they have a very close communal society where shameful behaviour is kept in check by the community. (This also makes it very very hard for a Muslim to come to know Christ's love).

I feel that God prompts us to give the Muslim community a chance to choose: Many Muslims have condemned this crime outright and try to distance themselves from it. A minority (20%?) are positive about it.

Muslims see this conflict as the conflict between Christianity and Islam. We know that Muslims are not taught to love their enemies, but we are. They do not know the power of God's love in them. We know the power of God's love because we have accepted Jesus who loved us when we still were God's enemies. What better way to expose this crucial difference than through this event! This may open the floodgates through which Muslims will abandon their violent creed this would open the way for God's peace to enter into them and the Middle East.

The burning coals: we think that President Bush should challenge Muslims worldwide to socially ostracize those who preach, teach and practice hate. They should hunt down and bring to justice those who perpetrated the crime that brought the shame on their community..

After the horrific crime that took place this last Tuesday I feel that we as a nation have the right and duty to meet out an appropriate response to those we hold responsible. Everybody knows that we have a huge arsenal of weaponry. We can choose the time and the place for our response and I will authorize the use of any weapon needed to meet out punishment with accuracy and devastation.

Some people say that this is a clash between two civilizations: Christian and Islamic. Our civilization is based on love for God and love for our neighbors. Even when we do not always understand our neighbors, we always try to believe the best of them. Even though we have made mistakes as a nation, we have always believed that intervention and protection of peaceful peoples is our duty. Therefore we came against Hitler, therefore we are restraining Saddam Hussain. That is why we even came against Milosovitsch who committed atrocities against Muslims. We however hesitate to come to the defense of violent people or people who preach hate.

As Christians we are called by God to do something humanly impossible: to love neighbors who are our enemies. God calls us to believe that there is uprightness in our enemy. Only with the power of God's love in us are we able to do this. Many Muslims have contacted me and told me that this violence is not Islam, yet we see that almost all those involved are Muslims. I seek no war with Muslims. You know that my emphasis is on strong military defense, not on offence. I prefer to be a man of peace.

It is for this reason that I want to give the Islamic world an opportunity to demonstrate its own ability to cut the cancer of hate out of its own community. I challenge the leadership in all realms of life to unite in the condemnation and social expulsion of those who perpetrated and supported this crime. I challenge you to uproot and bring to swift justice those who propagate hate. I challenge you to call out to God for the power to love your enemies. With hate cut out, and God's love established it also will become be possible to solve the perplexing problems that have plagued the Middle East for more than a generation.

4000 years ago God chose a man called Abraham for Himself. Both our cultures look back to this man as our founding father. He was willing to sacrifice his most beloved possession in order to honor God. I feel that through our common ancestry, God is calling us to establish mutual respect and trust rather than us listening to the voices of hate.

I am risking everything as President by allowing you this opportunity. We as people will keep a very close eye on the manner in which you respond to this challenge. Dependent on the swiftness and depth of your response I will suspend the retaliation for this crime for several hours, days or weeks. If this suspension is misused or mistaken for weakness, there will be no way for me to stop the calls for revenge and retribution. We then will strike with all our might to root out this evil.

Keys: We will reach out in love to our enemies like Lincoln reached out to the South after Civil war

We will execute justice if you are unable, unwilling. // (God calling people to repent).

Like God: We will suspend acts of judgment, but do not think that this means weakness.

(Three weeks ago we were called from Korea that a group of 500 people were praying for the world and heard that a great calamity would soon shake the world system).

Last Monday evening (September 12, 2001) the same person called again that a great crisis would soon hit Hong Kong. At the moment they have 200 people praying and fasting 24H-day in shifts for Hong Kong).

Looking at what happened yesterday in New York we see that there are very frightening similarities

1 New York, although located in a country that has a Christian foundation and laws, is a place where the love of self and the love of money rules supreme. You are well aware that the love for Jesus and the love for money are horrendously tangled up in many US churches. This entanglement in the end meant that people refuse God's love and protection and rather run after the financial and economic security the world gives. By refusing God's protection they made themselves a huge open target.

Question: How similar is this with the church situation in Hong Kong? (2 Chr. 7:14 the sin which the church allows will also affect society).

Jer 4: 3 For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, " Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns. 4 "Circumcise yourselves to the LORD And remove the foreskins of your heart, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My wrath go forth like fire And burn with none to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds."

2 The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah: Ezek. 16:49 "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food, and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. 50 "Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw it. We felt this sin was especially the reason why the Lord allowed the World Trade Center to be annihilated.

Question: How do we measure up as a community here in HK? (Both Chinese and foreigners)

3 USA Violence. You may notice how the attack looked like a Hollywood movie. The USA has poisoned the world with violent movies. Over twenty million babies were aborted in the USA in the last 20 years. By opening the door to this spirit of violence, they gave free reign to that demonic power, totally undermining the blessing of peace which God brought. The immorality of this attack is almost as bad as the immorality in the culture.

4 Idolatry: Jer2:27 Who say to a tree, 'You are my father,' And to a stone, 'You gave me birth.' We seem to be worse, we say to the DRAGON "we are your children".

If we add up some of the verses above, we see that Hong Kong is also at the brink of disaster like New York.

Pluck up, tear down, destroy, overthrow, build & plant. Stand in the gap filling the places where evil covenants have been made. We humble ourselves and pray And perhaps even more than that: Has anybody said thank you to God for still loving China after its people rejected Him for 3500 years? How many people have thanked Him for giving Hong Kong peace for 150 years?

Jer 1:10 "See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant."

Ezek 22: 30 "And I searched for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 "Thus I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their way I have brought upon their heads," declares the Lord GOD. And 2 Chr 7: 13 "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 "Now My eyes shall be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place. 16 "For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 17 "And as for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked even to do according to all that I have commanded you and will keep My statutes and My ordinances, 18 then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying, 'You shall not lack a man to be ruler in Israel.' 19 "But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you and shall go and serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot you from My land which I have given you, and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

5 In one word: Babylon. Rev 17:1 And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I shall show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality. 3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw h hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, 5 and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." 6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus, I wondered greatly. 7 And the angel said to me, "Why do you wonder? I shall tell you the mystery of the woman. 18 "And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth." . 18:3 Kings who have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality."

18: 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 "Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her. 7 "To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ' I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.' 8 "For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. 9 "And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ' Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come. ' 15 "The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, 23 . your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.

Question: In how far are we the same? Sorcery: Making the Dragon our national symbol unleashed many disasters. Treat people like commodities, enslave people with gloss and glitter..
