Due to the method which the INS used to release the refugees, it was impossible to bring the refugees together for the party which was planned to celebrate their freedom.

Depending upon the circumstances, a party may still be held when the remaining refugees are released. Otherwise, we hope someday to hold a "reunion party" for all of the refugees.

Update:
Many of the refugees came to a wedding in New York City in November of 1999, providing an opportunity for a partial reunion. Other refugees are fearful, believing that participation in such meetings may endanger their freedom.
